My Artist Statement
Music to me is vulnerability. The kid behind a microphone, strapped to a guitar, or seated at a set of keys is the real me. Music has come naturally to me since I was young. My singing ability developed right around the time I was able to speak. I was given my first guitar lesson at age eight, and although I didn't know it at the time because I was focused on baseball, I'm convinced I was put on this earth to be an artist. Trying to be anything else would be a waste of time.
About Me
Bravo Wilson, a 25 year old, American singer/songwriter, music producer, and audio engineer, embarked on his career journey at the age of 15 with an intensive music program at Berklee College of Music. After being given the opportunity to learn from the top industry professionals, collaborate with other artists, and record one of his first original songs, Bravo knew music was his calling.
Since 2015, he has relentlessly pursued his musical education through various collegiate degrees and industry experiences. His journey has brought him across the United States, including a significant six month stint in Los Angeles, CA.It was here that Bravo began his journey of writing, producing and recording songs.
Bravo was staying in a creative commune off Sunset Boulevard, where his skills garnered the attention of a talented producer. After agreeing to a single studio session, the duo recorded a track, receiving incredible feedback from piers and strangers alike.
Today, Bravo has over 30 songs recorded and released on all major streaming platforms. All of these songs have been written, recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered by Bravo himself. He understands there is a time and a place for collaboration, but he also firmly believes in the adage, “If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.” Inspired by the example of Atlanta-based rapper Russ, Bravo is walking his own path to success, learning and evolving with every step of the way.
Bravo’s goal for the future is to continue his evolution and refine his sound. To inspire others to dream by embracing every victory and every defeat along his path, and leave his mark not only the music industry, but hopefully the world.
